To my BRAVE self

http://www.candymag.com/all-access/here-s-to-all-the-girls-who-had-the-courage-to-say-how-they-really-feel-a201-20170220

This article brought me back to that day that I confessed to my guy friend. It wasn't "love" that I confessed but rather my "liking" for him and for being true to myself. Bruh, it wasn't easy. My confession took a lot of time of thinking when to confess, how, where, and if he already knows that I like him or not. It wasn't peer pressure, but letting off some emotional pressure on myself before I embark to a journey towards my dream. I humbly received the rejection and I'm happy that I got my message clear accross.

Looking back, I did regretted a bit and thought of what ifs. But now, I dont regret my choice and the confession I made is considered as my personal badge for being BRAVE. Even if I confessed or not, we will surely grow apart due to time and space (location?) but the friendship and the times spent with each other will always be a valuable part of our lives.

I'm happy that I made a bold move at a young age but mature enough to let that season pass me by. A month to go and it's already been four years since I've done it. Ah, the good times, I guess :)

NBSB talks :)

Last night, I was with Dairen, Beatty and Don. Yeah, the so-called NBSB bonding. I really enjoy the company of my fellow NBSB since they usually share their not-so-good experiences with their keme. And as the one who's next in line (ahem, soon to be alum), they also see themselves in me. HAHA. Mega relate?

When it comes to Beatty and Dairen, they have a contrasting personalities. Beatty: fierce artist. Dairen: soft-spoken writer. Beatty always tell me to do like this and like that. Something different. Nuff said. While Dairen will just give you some advices that is different from Beatty. Basta, ganun yun!

Since I got to bond with Beatty once every week, last night was the time to share some of my "keme stories" with Dairen. She knows who's the person concerned. Ayun, I learned a lot from her past experiences. Of course relate ako kasi nga NBSB kami. But Im happy that I got to listen from their stories. Sabi nga ni Dairen "I dont want you to learn the hard way". :3

Well, iba naman din kasi talaga kami nina Sib and her keme. HAHA). Sabi nga ni Sib "kaya kayo laging magkasama or nagkkwento sya kasi comfortable na sya sayo" (which I think is soo true). Yes, we talk about our past kemes and related stuffs, pero kwentuhang just for fun and entertainment lang.

Me; Noooo.

Another quotable quote from Dairen.

HAHAHA. Eh baka kasi mas tumagilid pa pag nagsalita ako. I'll just let destiny do its magic. tsaka ayoko paka-stress, ineenjoy ko na lang tong last sem ko :) Gusto kong gawing memorable to :)

HAHAHA. Last man standing kaya ako sating lahat? Wag naman! :))

Of rants and sudden burst of critical thinking

Last Sunday, I just grabbed Slam Magazine's latest ish where Terrence Romeo's name was on the cover. Actually, I wasn't planning to buy magazines since my rack's already full. HAHA. It was Justine who told me that Romeo's featured there, and since I'm an ex-Juliet (I'll just tell you the story later), I was kinda interested  on what's there.

As I browsed the magazine, I first came across June Mar Fajardo's article, read some lines there then proceed on the TR article. The moment I saw the first 2 pages, which contain his picture and a huge title, I was like "Wow, nagpa-interview sya dito tapos samin eh picture lang, ayaw pa na." I turned on the next page and kinda shocked that the article's writer and I share the same fate of not being replied by Romeo. "Really? Di rin sya nag-reply? Nakakahiya naman ganung ugali. You already agreed on the interview tapos biglang waley?" Then, the writer just interviewed key people that could say something about the 20-year old combo guard, which include Coach Bert, Coach Magtulis, and Mike Tolomia. I really liked the angle of the story. It's like it indirectly answered Romeo's ball-keeping attitude (Sorry, I really can't say bwakaw, or ball-hogger). Actually, it's kinda hard topic, that I, myself, can't even ask other people that "Is Romeo a selfish ball distributor? (Uhh? magulo Lhea. Where's the sense?)

Going back, Coach Bert is a person that will honestly tell you what's wrong on this kid since he's aware that TR has this thing called "shoulder fake-head fake-with hair swaying move-plus-I-can-do-this-all-by-myself-and-shoot-the-ball-without-sharing-to-my-teammates disease. Sorry for being harsh guys especially to some of his fans that might be able to read this. TR has an incredible talent, I know we all agree. He's also hardworking when it comes to taking time to practice his shooting (Someone from R.Papa told me this before and I have seen him before practicing even in the dark. Yeah, srsly). But he has to learn that he doesn't have to carry the burden single-handedly. There are 4 other guys, waiting for the ball he's going to distribute and facilitate, that will take that magical shot. And there's also a concept of 24-seconds that will let you plan and get that right timing to bury that dagger into your opponent's throat, and not throwing the ball freely like the one's in the arcade.

On the other hand, as a schoolmate, Im happy on what he achieved this year, especially being a part of the Mythical 5. Being one takes a lot hardwork from the start of the season til the end. We've seen how FEU rose above the seven other schools with that 4-0 record. That's already something. He was a hero in every game that he played, with long-dropping triples, defense-slashing drives, cat-quick hands that swiped every ball off an opponent, a sprinter-like fastbreaks and his signature shoulder fake-head fake-then- stepback jumpers that can make any girl go crazy seeing his nearly angelic face, lazy eyes and Son Goku-like hairstyle that he nourished for more that 3 months. (Phew! that was looooong!) I can't imagine FEU sans Romeo during their crucial first three games in Season 73. As some sports writers and Coach Bert said "It could have been 0-3, not 3-0." But how about FEU without RR Garcia? Well, more unimaginable (for me). Garcia suffered from an ankle injury from a practice before the season. With that incident, Garcia had a lesser time on court and gave Romeo more time to take charge as one of the veterans. As some UAAP fanatics observed, TR and RR doesn't seem to have that balanced pH, in short, chemistry. Whenever they are on the floor together (IDK who assumes the 1 and 2), they simply don't pass the ball on each other. (Guuuuuys? This is not an arcaaade). I have seen it a lot of times already, even last year. Well, it's just this time that it's more evident. But there are those times that when they share it, it  was like a nuclear bomb that can wreck the whole arena. During FEU vs NU Game (Sept 2), Garcia dished the ball on Romeo in the left wing, then shoots a triple that gave them a 2-point edge. Well, that game might not be counted as a win (Hello Technical Committee!), but it's SOMETHING. Something that not everyone witnessed. Another one was their KO game against DLSU. FEU was 7 points behind the Taft-based team and 38 seconds' left in the game clock. Everyone from the Morayta side wished for a miracle, until Garcia passed the ball on Romeo and knocked a triple, then Garcia stole the ball from DLSU's possession and dropped a three pointer that left the other team in a one-point advantage with 30 secs left. Yes, six points in 8 seconds. Magical, doesn't it? Yet, it was a sorry loss for FEU since it was the first time they were kicked out of the Final 4 in 5 years. Oops, I still have another one in my sleeves! Well, this time, FEU won their first cardiac game in the season. Less than 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter, UST's possession, and up by 1 point. The Tigers need to shoot that one last shot to run away their first game. Jeric Fortuna carefully dribbles the ball, inspecting the area and switches his attention to his coach, waiting for his signal to drive the ball. As his attention focused on his mentor, he forgot what he has in his right hand. It was the perfect timing for Romeo to swipe the ball, pass it to the running Tolomia and to Garcia who was waiting to make the finishing touches. And the ball safely entered the ring with 7 seconds remaining. And FEU's up by 1! UST wasted no time and made a fast play with Mariano on the downtown and missed the big shot when the time expired.

Garcia's fate next year is still undetermined, whether he'll stay or embark a new journey in the pros. Whatever happens, it will be Romeo who is expected to take over the floor general title. But in that time, Romeo has to change, for the his own good and for the better of everyone. Talent? No doubts. Confidence? More improved this time around. So lemme switch on the other side of my rants. I know TR is a nice guy, well, according to Joshua. HAHA. But seriously, he's good. I've talked to him a lot of times already, have picture with him, etc. He also do some simple efforts to other people in his simple way (like texting someone to alleviate his/her feelings [im a living proof to that. haha]).

Actually, I've been texting him since last month for my work-related assignment (thanks to JE for his number) and he doesn't reply. Joshua already warned me that recently, he's not into interviews (Actually, it's just for a photoshoot!). Then last sembreak, I had some few trips to R.Papa Gym, hoping to catch him there and talk about the shoot. But unluckily, I wasn't able to see even a shadow of him. Last Friday, I went back to the gym with Armen and Justine. Good thing, I met Coach Jo and told him why I'm looking for the kid. We patiently waited outside, hoping to talk to him that time around but we just wasted our time. I went back to the campus and met Russel and Mac. So I talked to them and ask where can I find TR. RE offered me to join them going to their Dean's office since TR's currently enrolling, and finally get a chance to meet him after 1 month of searching him. Side story: I cant help but laugh when we reached EB 8th floor. A lot of young girls are screaming when they saw the 2 tall guys I'm with, haha. So I just waited on the side and called by RE "Lhea, tara pasok na tayo. Nasa loob sya" "Uy, di ako pwede dyan, IN ako eh. Sabihan mo na lang sya" Then he entered the room and returned after 3 minutes. Text mo nalang sya." Me: "Uy, seryoso yan ha. Sabihin mo mag-reply sya. Kung hindi, iiscalpelin ko sya, now na." And he terribly laughed while cameras are clicking at the background. After that, I went back in the office and after 30 minutes, someone saw TR outside. So I hurriedly called Justine to run after  him then he just said "Enrolment eh, busy ako". And the moment I hear it from Justine, I just bowed my head and said, I give up. But wait, I still have other pending papers! haha :)

Going up

Covering UAAP Basketball for 2 consecutive season's really amazing. You got to see basketball games a few inches away from you. You see scenes that can't be seen in television, like players talking or tapping their opponent, their facial expressions when they miss a shot or when they fell on the floor like a weak puppet.
I watched FEU's games last year, and honestly, I wasn't expecting that we're going to have our 2nd straight Finals appearance. But FEU pulled that season to an exciting and fantastic one, nailing those cardiac games and proving everyone that they'll definitely make it again, though in a roller-coaster ride to the top.
That time, I was really scared that the Tamaraws would face Ateneo if they place 4th. Well, that would be suicidal for us. Luckily, UST bowed to NU in their final game and FEU won against DLSU. Before coming to semifinals, I was thinking that since Adamson stopped Ateneo's elims sweep, FEU would lose easily. Adamson also cancelled their classes that afternoon while FEU still carried on. I opted to cut my afternoon class to watch and support the team aside from doing my duty.
Some of the kids I met at the venue skipped their classes too just to catch the game that might be our last for that season. Yet, FEU ended it with a 10 point advantage. And the team's luck continued up to their rubber match and booked a round trip ticket again to the championships.
Again, FEU choked in their 2-game finals against their foes, Ateneo. I know it's hard to lose another crown again, but everyone must move on and improve their skills once again.
This year, FEU sparked in their opening game, with RR Garcia doing the magic again. The Tamaraws saw themselves at the top of the standing with 4-0. Not until NU halted it. The green and gold squad remained positive yet lost again to Ateneo at the end of the 1st round elims. The Tams showed everyone that they're really hungry for the gold when they trounced UST with 20 points, and then bowed again to Ateneo.
Their two loses against Ateneo's really a tough one, but their 2nd round match-up against NU was a very big blow to them. And then, DLSU made FEU's way to third spot blurred with Vosotros' baskets.
Come their rematch, Im confident that FEU would notch this, but seeing them play with crappy defense and kinda chaotic plays made me bow down and asked extra help from above. God heard my prayers and gave FEU a run to catch up with NU's score. The game reached overtime and FEU was up by 6 points, not until Parks made those terrific shots that shackled the Morayta-based cagers.
We left Araneta Coliseum with a pierced heart and unexplainable facial expression. We tried to keep the pain but we cant.
I know, rants and rages would not really help our squad right now. It's just disappointing to see that you're on top of the standings and now fighting for dear life at fourth. This doesn't mean that FEU's a weak team, it's just because of certain circumstances that caused them to be at that hanging spot. We almost had it all, but we let it slipped away.
That first match up was undeniably ours, but let's stop all these buzzes, it already happened. "bilog ang bola", right?
So let's just put our whole faith and support to them, I know that they need us. Even though we're going to face a lot of trials along the way, I know we'll definitely get there at the right time.
IDC about my grammatical errors here, I just wanna voice out what I feel. :)

Kinda, umm definitely, or maybe certainly

I was actually reading some articles in a known sports website and came across to an article made by an FEU correspondent. Since his article is about FEU (but of course!), I easily clicked to read it. And after that I was satisfied with the infos that I got, but not its composition.

I really have a keen eye on errors and corrections. It's a natural thing since I'm a writer and I need to check mine and our section's articles too. Tito June Ace was the one who taught me about these things, and up to now, I'm still learning from him.

The moment that I read the article all over again, I got to see some redundances, inconsistencies, missed letters and incomplete thoughts. At some point, he's also text speaking (like making "yung" to "ung"). He also didn't follow some basic rules in writing, like hyphens and commas. I was wondering whether his editor checked his work or not, or maybe they just let it that way, showing what the writer has originally typed.

Honestly, I'm kinda, umm definitely, or maybe certainly not happy. I don't require him to ask help from me or from anyone else, but before doing such write-up in a website like that, you need to make sure that every little thing that you put there must be correct. I hope he read some online articles first before he wrote, atleast he has the idea and the technique. I'm not a perfect writer, I have problems with grammar but I still make it to the point that I always read to enhance my writing and correct my errors.

There's still a room for improvements. This may be his first time to make such an article, umm, not really an article, but a kind of blog entry, so I guess I'll just let this pass. Not everyone can be good in 2 skills, someone might be good in reporting rather than writing or vice versa.

---
Oh! Another info, I also tried to be a correspondent for that website. Actually, when I auditioned, we were asked to report and make our own script. Unluckily, I was not chosen. Haha, though I'm fond of talking, well,  reporting may not be for me. I think, I belong to public speaking or debating. HAHA. And aside from that, my spiel sounds like an article. The last time I made a script for sports reporting was during our Speech class in my sophomore year. But that was a different thing since my script was just plainly a report, not a play-by-play one. Haha, oh! Don't get me wrong guys. :)

Umm, maybe?

I had a dinner last night with two friends whom I missed to bond with. Well actually, we always see each other in school,  and almost everyday, haha. We really didn't planned to have a dinner together, but since we're leaving school late already, so we decided to eat in a nearby restaurant.

While waiting for our food, we took a lot pictures since I brought my camera and aside from that, we also reminisced our bondings before. So when our food arrived, friend number 1 served me the food first. And I was like "Aww, thank you! Hey! Pareho kayo ni Tito!", and then he asked why, so I told him that it was Tito who always serves me first. Hahaha. And this friend also did it again when we both asked for another extra rice. Haha.

And then, I remembered what my other girl friends told me, he's just like tito. Umm, well, they maybe a bit different since tito is a "simpatiko" and this friend is a "moody" one (as described by his close friend). Friend number 1 was my teammate last year and I thought I already knew him, but my 2 gf's told me "not that much". Well, they both told me that they had a little crush on friend1, umm, maybe because of how he treats his friends, or how he behaves around a small group of people.

Since I'm a "walang-hiya" kind of person, I immediately asked him if he's the same at home, so he told me "yes" since he's the youngest among the two. His brother usually cooks for them and he's the one who serves for them. And I was like "awww" and shared my own kwento too.

And then again, I came across of overthinking again. I think that Im a kind of person who always take both sides of the story. Haha, that's why Im a journalist, right? Well, to understand a certain thing, you must not hear or see only the side A, you need to consider also side B. I'm not just talking about fairness, its also about understanding for you to interpret certain things accurately. And through this, I think Im already evolving into a Nurse-Psychologist who's really interested on why people react or behave that way. And then I think, nawawala na ako sa topic :)))

Going back, why title Umm, maybe? Well look back, I have a lot of umm maybe parts in this blog. haha :D

Of disappointments

Last week seemed to be the most disappointing week of my life. Thing didn't go well especially in my academics. Yes, I got zero on my Medical Calculation practical quiz, and got 50 on the other one. I'm afraid that I might have a Revalida before the end of the sem.

What went wrong?

Well actually, I chose to sleep rather than to review. I prioritized my physiological need rather than the other one. I took things too lightly, maybe because I think it's easy. I don't usually fail in our skills lab, which seems to be my forte even before (exclude Health Assessment here). I think, maybe because of the type of practical exam why I failed. Well, I think so. I just need to bounce back next week. I dont wanna be late again or to have a failing grade. I will do my best this time. Swear!

I will also study my lessons on NCA, I will not take it for granted again. I'll prioritize my obligations well.
----

Come Friday, everything's changed. I was really enthusiasted in our new concept in NCM which is Communicable Disease. Our professor described herself as a terror teacher, but I dont see her like that. Maybe she just wanted us to do our best and study more in her concept. She did asked a lot of questions during the start of classes, and me being the "best in recitation" kid (hahaha, no doubt!), I always raise my hand and answer her. She gets irritated when everytime she throws new questions, and no one raises their hands, except mine. :)

HAHA. I hope I'll have good grades in her concept :D

And yes, I missed blogging here!

My so-called WEAKNESS

To tell you honestly, eto talaga ang kahinaan ko, Volleyball. Since then, I considered writing volleyball as my primary weakness.

So kung iisipin, memorable talaga yung sport na to. Ewan ko talaga, as in ewan...

Eto na naman tayo

KUMUSTA na Lhea Jane Socrates Bagona, the future RN?

AAAAAAH! And for the nth time this sem, LATE na naman ako sa pagpasa. EEEEEEEEEH :(

Anyare sayo Lhea?

Ganun talaga! :)

May time pa naman ako.

Grow up KIDDOS, learn to adjust to your members, BITCHES.

Kahit ako man gumawa, GROUP EFFORT pa rin paningin ko dun. Kumbaga, wag mong solohin ang lahat, kaya nga group eh. Tapos yung iba nagmamalinis pa, nakakainis diba?

MOVING ON!

Nursing Research lec naman, 2.75 ako dun. From 81.6, naging 76.9 (75 kasi base namin).

BASTA! Kelangan kong pumasa, PAPASA AKO! :)

Wala na rin  akong problem sa section namin maliban lang dun sa nai-confide ko kay Tito Juneys last time. Yung exam na ite-take ko for the second time yung hot topic ngayon.

EH? Magkatext na naman kami ni Joshua. EK? Nagsimula to nnung birthday ko, tapos natapilok siya kagabi at tinext ako to seek help. PERSONAL NURSE??

(Para sayo 'to Dairen! :'> ).

Blow it baby!

I admit, tamad and andami kong absences sa subject na to. Imba kase, bakit  NOL-type pa to? I'd prefer if it would be lecture-based than learning via computer. It's very tempting to skip classes since we dont have any professors there, only proctors. Isa pa kasi, 7am yung NOL namin, and lagi akong natatanghalian ng gising. And yes, sa katamaran ko na rin. It's the consequence of my laziness (Galit si Cindy sa katamaran ko). 48 hours yung kelangan kong i-make up, so I need to have a 6-hour make up class and 3 hours every Thursday and friday, starting next week. GOSH, kaya ko ba yun? I skipped Fundamentals of Nursing already since its very lengthy. I envy my classmates who are already done with the 5 concepts. Paano kaya nila nagagawa yun? Although yung iba, may buddy-system na tinatawag, in short CHEATING. Next year, ayoko na mag-skip pa ng NOL, grabe yung consequences!

And, lastly my obligations. Since I was assigned as our section's OIC and head for an important task, siguradong marami akong gagawin. I admit na late na kami sa sked, and I wanna blame my poor time management plus acads requirements for duty. Di porke leader ka (he's talking about the nursing thingy nugn time na 'to), ikaw na gagawa lahat. Matuto kang humingi ng tulong."

kanina, lutang ako galing NOL dahil nagkasabay-sabay nga and I need to remind the TLS thingy dahil nung tumawag ako, di ko nakausap si Kuya Patrick and baka nakalimutan na nila yung request ko. Nakakaloka yung resibong yun, bakit kasi nawala! MOVING ON!

Parang ganun, yet I get outstanding grades (powerful nung adjective ko ah!). Maybe I should get inspiration sa iba pang bagay. But actually, sina Nanay, Papa at Lola talaga inspiration ko. Another thing, medyo problemado rin ako sa tuition ko and di pa kami nag-uusap ni Papa. 2 months na din siyang di nakakatwag so kinakabahan and nagwoworry naman ako. 50-50 pa  chances ko for summer class. Imba naman kasi course na ;to, ANG MAHAL!

I wanna thank Cindy Ashley Go Sy na naging extension ng utak ko sa kasabawan ko kanina. Wala na akong maisip. Napapatulala na lang ako. :D Since nasabi ko na ata lahat dito, back to History review na ako. magaan na pakiramdam ko and Im ready to finish all kemps bukas. Kaya ko to! :D

---
Special mention to Kuya Gelo Barza. Going back! And syempre yung News na rin (KAWAY to Dairen, Janice, Eli, Juju, and Buts)  :)))

Press Play 2012

I think, this week was totally a blast. IAS and IN week plus Press Play! :)

This year's Press Play was in La Salle in celebration of their Media Week. This was the tie up of Ateneo's The Guidon and DLSU's The La Sallian. It was an advance seminar for students who are in line with Journalism. Some student publications present was UPHSD, Veritas, Mapua, Letran and FEU.

I definitely learned a lot from this seminar--especially dun sa Investigative Reporting/Journalism in relation with the New Media. Our resource speaker was Mr Ed Lingao of PCIJ and he was also a print and television personality since he wrote for Manila Times before and then a reporter in The Correspondents. Though he only had a short time to discuss everything to us, but he left us with a mark. He gave us tips, motivational messages and also POV's. During the Q&A, I asked him a lot of questions since Im interested with his topic and I see journalism and broadcasting as my last resort since Nursing is kinda...umm, declining. First I asked him if media (broadcasting companies, publications) would accept someone who didn't even finished a Comm course and it's only experience is working in the student publication. So Sir Lingao asked me back if why did I became so interested with journ or broadcasting and I answered him. I wont forget some of the things that he said like "Bago ka pumasok sa broadcasting, dapat unang-una marunong ka magsulat" and "It doesn't matter what you are (nursing student), but it is on how you do it (journalism)". He cited some examples and his own experiences. A producer won't choose you just because you are beautiful, has a fair complexion and white underarms (yeah, he said that), but he will first let you write and then it is the time that he will judge you. Then on field reporting, I also asked him his if he already had a contact on his assigned place, how does he formulate questions..etc. He let us watch some videos from early 2000's especially from ABC5 and ABS-CBN. We saw a lot of familiar faces including Zaldy Ampatuan ( yeah, I was able to recognize him since the setting was in Datu Aguak in Maguindanao. And he was so young then, you won't think that he'll gonna be the mastermind of maguindanao massacre after 9 years!).

Aside from that, he also tackled the rise of new media and the rapid decline of newspapers in the US. It's quite alarming and we teenagers forgot to read newspapers and totally rely on Yahoo which aggregates some top news in mainstream media like NY Times and the likes. According to a website, they predicted the death of newspapers after 5 years. They also made a study on the internet usage of the Filipinos. We are now tagged as the World's Largest Internet Users with 93.3%. Every Filipinos use the internet for 7 hours in a month but in reality, especially here in Manila, 7 hours is just a small number. We can stay up to 12 hours or more during weekends. Actually, we dont fully utilize the internet properly. Some people from the province go to internet shops just to update their statuses and play games but little did they know, they can get a lot of informations. INFORMATIONS in the internet are somewhat viral, even pictures and videos. Well, I cant elaborate more about that cause it seems like Im already lecturing. haha.

Going back, being in media is an adventure. Some may say that news is boring, but hey, you can do a lot of things with news. Others complain that their audiences (students) are very passive in the news that they are publishing, they dont even care on school issues, etc. An editor from a university shared that their newspaper are bring checked first by the admin of their school. The admin wants to make sure that the paper wont give any bad image with their school, but it seems like they (admin) are controlling the press freedom. I dont really know the whole story but it seems to be somewhat like that. Good thing in FEU, we have freedom to publish news which aims to inform the students with the current happenings and issues and the admin doesn't check our galley before we send it to the publishing house. I wonder if we are in the same situation with that editor. hmm. Hey! Where am I heading to? I thought this blog was about my adventures today?

Going back again, we had our lunch at their canteen. It has the same ambiance with EB canteen and the also have big fans like those on Pav 2. While roaming around, I somewhat felt that "college vibe/ambiance". I dunno why but I like La Salle's vibe, it's kinda different (well, maybe because it was a big university and it is in a different location. hmm, pwede). People there loves to wear statement shirts of DLSU and are very simple. The La Sallian's staffers are very hospitable especially their (very cute, ahem) ME and the funny girl (whose actions are very Maskom, like she called scissors as "jonting". COOL!) Someone from the staff looks like Enchong Dee (the slimmer version), and I thought that guy was a celebrity. haha.

On our second session, we agreed on Photojourn since majority of us went to IR and Jude was separated since he joined the Visual Arts seminar. To our surprise, the speaker, who was a La Sallian and Manila Bulletin photographer was an acquaintance of Jude! They knew each other during UAAP Men's basketball tournament last semester, and! he's an RR Garcia fan (can you believe that?! definitely cool!). He gave us basic knowledge on photojournalism and important points. I may not be a photographer but Im really interested on pictures (maybe because I easily remember pictures than words.. something like that.) He also shared his NINJA stories (Jude, alam mo yan!), which are quite risky and adventurous! "Photographers go to places that other people fears to go" (parang ganun ata).

After the seminar, I asked Kuya Andrew about Joel (my acquaintance from ITH) but they know him as Tim (his nickname) and I told them that we know each other months ago, and kinakamusta ko siya (we had a nice talk during ITH). And then, all of them said "Ayieee", and I just laughed. Their ME invited us for a snack and then attend also their party. I was thrilled since it's gonna be my first time to attend their party but unluckily, my advo mates wants to go home early. So we just roamed around the La Salle campus, seached for Bro Andrew Gonzales Bldg, had a mini picnic in front of Yuchengco Hall, explained about architecture kemps, then picture taking before going home. Buts and Marra made me laugh hard because of their conyo way of speaking, but contrary to what they are expecting, we all conversed in Filipino and they are not conyo. :) I also bought a lanyard with NERDY printed in it. I should've chose the SPORTY one since Im from sports section. hihi :)))

Thanks to Jude for taking the photos, Buts and Marra for making me laugh, Nikky, Glesa, Jan (with his fab hair. SUPER LIKE!), and Bambi (Happy Birthday!) :))) Hope to spend more time with you and more seminars to come!

--Yours truly, The Senior Citizen Lhea :)))

Let's PUSH this! :)

Stressful day. Parang namatayan ata ako ng neurons nitong hapon, but anyway another learning experience for me. I admit na matagal ako magsulat, pero kapag na-time pressure ako just like what happened last sem na torn ako between articles and nursing-related paperworks plus pressuring groupmates and their rants, napapabilis ko yung ginagawa ko, yet not sure sa quality ng ginawa ko, pero binuhos ko naman yung makakaya ko dun.

Kaming tatlo nina Ace and Cindy yung medyo pagod yung braaaaains but still we remained calm and pakanta-kanta pa. I think, that's what I love Sports, kalmado despite of some things. We can adapt to stress and divert problems/pressure to other things.

As we arrived sa Starbucks-P. Yehey! I'm 4 stickers away for another planner!

Nga pala, nandun din yung SC family ni Pareng Cee ni Dairen including a former Advo staffer and some familiar faces. Nabusog naman ako and masaya kaming nandun. Looking forward for more bonding moments kahit saan man yan. :">

HAHA. (okey, ambabaw ko).

So magka-Tweet kami nina Dairen and Cindy.

Hold on, kaya natin to :)

Make Believe/Mixed Signals: Kung san ka masaya, dun din ako :) IDK kung what team ako eh. :P And sa acads and other problems mo, kaya mo yan. :)))

Time check: 3:23am! Pupunta pa ako ng Novaliches later! :))) Bayie!

Crazy Weekend

This weekend must be the busiest since the start of this year. Freaky lang kasi mula kahapon and ngayon.

Yesterday, my life started with our Nursing Research class. Since we're anticipating a quiz, todo review naman kami. Good thing, considerative yung mommy ni Ate Clar (hi ate clar!) este yung prof namin, di na kami nag-quiz and naging slow-paced yung lecture namin. Medyo antok pa rin ako sa class, medyo busy rin ako the night before nun and review-review rin ng NCM exam namin. So lumabas ako and natulog, mga 15 mins din ata yun.

Waley pa rin update kung what time yung exam. I managed to finish that 70-item exam in 15 mins. Mantakin mo yun?

Okeeey! Ako na nagccram! natapos ko yung 200 items in  30-45 mins ata. Katabi ko si Karl Uy. Haha, masingit lang. Very bet din yung classmate ko na yun bilang magkalapit chairs kami sa NCM and andami niyang alam. haha, yun lang :) After NCA, diretso cover na ulit with Cindy and The Don. After game, nagtutulakan pa kami for interview kay Coach but we ended up playing Chess instead.

Then, bago kami umalis, naglinis muna kami ng office bilang Sports at Arts yugn cleaners. LOL.

Nung pauwi na kami ni Cindy, dumaan kami sa Pav at sumigaw ng DAIREN kaso sa may admin na pala si Dairen with The Polar Bear. After 10 years, nagkasama ulit kami ni Cindy pauwi.

Jan. 15.

And this message made my day :))

Matagal-tagal din akong nakatayo and nakatingin. 4pm ako dumating sa venue bilang waley traffic. After 30 mins, naka-chika ko yung team captain ng mens. Ayos si kuya kausap, dami kong natutunan about chess.

Walang pahinga yun! :)

Yung truly, nakaka-guilty na, very fail ako magsulat ngayon compared last sem. SOPHOMORE JINX ba itey? More improvements pa Lhea! Aral-aral din! Ano kaya problema ko sa sarili at nagkakaganito ako. HAAAAAAAAY, can someone explain this to me? Kulang lang ba ako sa PAGMAMAHAL? LOL. Well baka nga kulang ako sa inspirasyon diba? Pwede naman yun. HAH! WANTED: INSPIRASYON and PAGMAMAHAL. Please contact ME! :)))

Okeeeey, 4:44 am na! :) *pwede mag-wish? ... Thank you!

Friday! Friday! Gonna get down on FRIDAY!

Funny title huh. I dont have plans on blogging right now, but since binasa ko yung blog ni The Dairen, naisipan ko na ring mag-post.

Waley talagang ganap sa'kin today though bukas pa magaganap yung mga BIGGEST GANAPS. I was absent this morning sa NCA namin, little did I know, may EXAM pala kami dun. I fear that I may get failing grade in that subject since i haven't finished my lessons. BTW, it's kinda computer class so I feel lazy attending that. Badtrip lang kasi dati incorporated siya sa NCM namin, but now, separate na siya. So, Im going to take my exams tomorrow with Leilani at 5pm-9pm. Seryoso, our exam is not that lengthy since 200 lang naman siya. LANG talaga, sanay na kami dyan. Though time consuming lang daw talaga yung pagbabasa ng questions kasi mahirap. Kasama pa yung CHN and MCN which I took up during 2nd year-1st sem na mala-CLINCHER daw according to Papa D (our class mayor).

Nagi-guilty ako kasi pahirap yung Fencing article ko then parang naging cause of delay yung section namin. Naalala ko tuloy yung sinabi ni Nanay Lora samin last year na maging role model kami sa lahat ng sections at di maging cause of delay. Sana next year mas maging okey yung section namin and mas maramdaman na yung newbies namin. Yung ka-partner ko, who happens to be my coursemate, naaasahan ko naman esp nung Fencing dahil siya yung kumu-contact and kumukuha ng details. Magaling din siya magsulat and mas mahaba ata experience niya as a sports writer kesa sakin. Pero I hope that she'll be a lot more active next time, maybe this summer since WE really need our newbies' presence. Juneys, Cindy and I are incoming seniors, so we're kinda busy by summer. Puro duty na lang ako then meron ding kanya-kanyang ganap sina Cindy and Juneys. Ayoko magmalaki or whatever but last year, kahit na may duty, case press and everything ako, I can still manage to cover especially Football since yun lang talaga yung game na pwedeng pwede ako and swak sa sked ko then. Sunday, my only free day then, I spend my afternoon in Ateneo to be able to do my duty. Looking back, nakakatuwa kasi nalampasan ko yung mga yun. I dont wanna compare my sked pero sana they'll take the initiative to do their obligations whenever they are available. Since I joined the org, I explained everything to Nanay kung bakit ko ginagawa yung mga yun, and she understands. Wala namang parents na magagalit sayo or di papayag if you're doing the right thing diba? And the best thing I learned from being a sports writer is TIME MANAGEMENT. Busy man ako, di naman ako nagre-reklamo. Im enjoying every bit of it, kasi baka sa susunod, di ko na maeexperience and magsisisi ako na di ko napagdaanan yung mga yun.

Tomorrow will be a very LOOOOOONG day. Maha-haggard ako mula Nursing Research, Eyes and Ears Exam, and NCA Online exam. I promise to do good this Midterms. 2.5 sa PolSci while 2.75 sa History. I hop na sana makabawi ako. Nakakahiya naman kasi na puro line of 1 ako last sem sa minors ko and syempre kelangang ingatan ang GWA para di ako masuspend and takot ako sa sinabi ni Mam na 2.25 yung required grade sa IN to graduate. So help me God! Im doing good naman recently with my NCM, sana tuloy-tuloy na. I give credits to our lecturer Mam Ritchelle Briones, favorite lecturer ko sya sunod kay Mam Tapnio. May sense of humor kasi sila and gising na gising ako sa klase. Iba talaga kapag board exam reviewer yung lecturer niyo. So ayun nga, good luck sakin bukas.

HAHA, teka akala ko wala akong hanash? We'll nakapagbawas na naman ako ng nilalaman sa utak. thanks blogger for being there and to my readers adn fans (HELLO Dairen, Cindy, Ate Clar, Lola, Sib). good night everyone!

I feel so.... :|

Mukhang andami naming hanash na magpipinsan at magkakapatid dito sa Blogspot. Ewan ko ba, parang andami naming pinagdadaanan. HAAAAY.

Recently, or maybe since last December, I have really a hard time making articles. Seryoso, yun yung nararamdaman ko. Bakit ganun?

I wont include my nursing life here, iba naman kasi yung paggawa ng Demo data and functional health patterns sa paggawa ng sports article. I feel somewhat a burden minsan.

LHEA, wake up! Isang taon na lang ang itatagal ko sa Advo and I want to make the most out of it.

SUBJECT-VERB AGREEMENT: Mas nakakahiya.

For now, yan na muna ang hanash an ipopost ko. Haaaayh.

RANDOM #3

YES? Uso ata talaga random posts sa mga panahon ngayon, diba Dairen and Cindy?

Then, I think I should read more since Im having problems with my subject-verb agreement.

Nung nasa jeep kasi, pansin ko na nakatingin siya (thanks to my very wide peripheral vision. Note: mahalaga yan sa mga Nursing students). Then bigla siyang kumindat, then napa-react ako ng nakakatakot (if you know me, alam mo yung ganung reaksyon ko). Ayun, gulat silang lahat. HAHA. Kala naman ni groupmate eh kikiligin ako. HAHA. :D

Random 3.4

Okey, gotta go! Bayie!

Today is Wednesday :">

Wednesday is NOL day, at dahil sa mabilis sumuko yung kasambahay ko sa paggising sakin, edi di na ako nakapasok :))) Mga 1pm, pumunta kami ng PLDT para magbayad nung telephone bill namin and dumiretso na rin ng FEU bilang magkikita pa kami ni Cindy sa SM Sta. Mesa. Nung asa office na ako, aba marami pala kaming naka-civilian, so it means na marami kaming walang pasok :))

Medyo na-traffic pa nga kami papuntang SM nun, and pagdating namin, nagwithdraw na muna ako and nagkita-kita kami nina Cindy sa entrance. LOL. Plan ko kasing mag-audition as host para sa Mr. and Ms IN for next month. Wala lang, trip ko lang, and gusto ko namang madala yung kadaldalan ko in another level. LOL Again.

Good thing, bumili rin sina Cindy and Don kaya nakumpleto yung stickers ko. Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha frappe for me, Strawberries and Cream for Cindy and Dark Mocha for Don. Then VOILA! Hello to my Cherry Starbucks 2012 planner! 1 year ko ring hinintay at pinangarap yun ah!

Well, epekto ng magpipinsan kami eh!

Haaayh, kababawan and everything! Masaya talaga ako, super! :))

Good luck po ate! Love You Ate Clar! I-push natin ang NBSB Circle with D,ACM,FN, and others :">

Memory Lane 2: Ang mga orgs, ang "Advo" at AKO :)

Kani-kanina lang, nagba-browse ako ng mga articles sa FEU website then nakarating ako sa article about sa FEU College "Y" Club and Oratorical and Debate Chamber (ORADEC). First Year pa lang ako, alam ko na yung mga organizations na 'to, syempre freshman, excited malaman kung ano ang tungkol sa school niya. Since active student ako way back elementary and high school, gusto kong dalhin yun hanggang college. Yeah, nung org hunt sa school, or also known as TamHunt, super dami ng inapplyan kong orgs. Here are some :

FEU-Institute of Nursing The Lamp- Official Student Publication of Institute of Nursing (yes, nag-sign up ako dito dahil sa writer din ako nung high school. Thrice ako nag-sign up dito kaso nung una, di ako natawag for interview, 2nd di ko maabutan yung ME, third, waley talaga.)

FEU Drum and Bugle Corps (sa ilang di nakakaalam, majorette ako mula elementary hanggang high school. Ang saya kaya ng sumasayaw with baton/flag with a cute skirt!)

FEU Theater Guild (yung totoo, nag-sign up lang ako.

Oratorical and Debate Chamber (eto talaga, dream kong maging DEBATER maliban sa umarte.

Nga pala, happy 1st anniversary pala samin this coming December 3 though Nov. 30 ako naging official staffer.

Advo TTL

Yes, kulang. Parang di ko maramdaman na may nagawa ako for FEU, or wala akong maiiwang alaala, footsteps, contribution, parang ganun.

At gusto kong makita yung sarili ko na nagta-trabaho sa media, either as a reporter or writer. Naging impluwensiya rin sakin yung hilig ko sa pagbabasa ng mga magazines dahil dun ako kumukuha ng inspirasyon, at plano kong makapagtrabaho roon kahit part time lang after graduation. Actually, nung nakita ko yung mga application forms ko sa  St. Paul University at West Visayas State University na di ko naisubmit (and yung course na nilagay ko sa UP, Trinity University of Asia, at FEU), kung hindi AB Journalism, AB Broadcasting eh AB Masscom yung 2nd choice ko.

WVSU form

St. Paul Univ-Iloilo

So ayun nga, nung sumali ako, News, Features, Filipino at Sports yung inilagay ko. Halos everyday din ako magresearch nun ah! fanatic much ba?

2nd year (Filipino)

4th year

drum and lyre days

number 9 and 40, me and Cindy :)) then andyan din sina Jaimer, Mish.

Yeay!
