Since our Neuro RLE ended today, kaya heto ako ngayon at nagpapaka-busy sa acads-related paperworks.
GOSH, after ko siguro magsulat, pwede na 'ko magka-carpal amputation (i forgot the exact term).
Si History naman, medyo maarte ng konti. Well, para tumaas ang grade, pagbubutihan ko ang kemerot na 'to. Oh well, MOVING ON!
I dont wanna spoil my Neuro concept since maganda yung mga quiz results ko compared last sem. Therefore, I conclude that (LOL), having a good sleep and NCM classes in the afternoon will give you good grades. hellooo, di ko na kaya tinutulugan yun.
May cover pa ako ng 4pm, so kelangang may gagawin ako from 10am to 3pm.
----------------
About body mechanics yung lecture namin kanina. And nung di naexplain nung classmate ko yung about dun sa purpose of turning and moving patients na provide comfort, naghahanap si mam ng makakapagsagot sa kanya. No one raised their hands, pero plano ko magtaas ng kamay nun kaso nahiya ako (mahiyain ako guys, believe me). So ayun, tinawag niya ako and I answered her in straight english. Nakakatuwa lang kasi all of them applauded me, dalawang sections kami sa room kanina and most of them were my former classmates. Talk about 15 minutes of fame :D
O sha, back to acads! Busy day tomorrow, PUSH!

Xie Xie! :D
This is soooo late! :)
Rooster people are very observant. And most of the time, they are very accurate and precise with their observation. Perhaps, you can say that Roosters have a very keen "sixth-sense". With Roosters, what you see is exactly what you get. There are no hidden depths to the Rooster's character: he is neither complicated nor profound, rather, he is very forthright and straightforward.
The rooster likes to be noticed and flattered. He might dress a little flashily with this in mind, but in his heart, he is completely conservative. Roosters always appear attractive and beautifully turned out. They are sociable and love to receive attention.
Believe it or not, it is not an easy task to fool the Rooster. His mind is cautious and skeptical, with this perceptive gift, Roosters make excellent trouble shooters, detectives, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists. Roosters are always up, out and doing. You rarely see a relaxed rooster that sits quietly in the livingroom, doing nothing. They are also multitalented, and can become accomplished in many different ways.
All Roosters are extremely conscious about clothing and appearance. They may appear conservative but are obsessed with their look - they can spend hours standing in front of the mirrors and will not even wink when they spend $500 for a dress. That doesn't mean they don't care about money, in fact, they love to compare prices and even if the bargain is only few cents or few dollars cheaper, they will be satisfied.
Though sharp, practical and resourceful, the Rooster also likes to dream. And because he likes to dream, he will disappointed the loved one, for the reality will never match up to the dreams he would like to share with her. Although he really is sincere about those dreams.
Rooster make great hosts and adore entertaining. The main virtue in the Rooster character is loyalty: they make devoted friends. They always keep their promises and are always true to their word. When Roosters love and admire someone, they will even catch the moon just to keep them happy.
Hardworking, resourceful, courageous and talented, Roosters are self-assured people. They possess powerful personalities and are notoriously dominant. In groups they are vivacious, amusing and popular. But Roosters can be conceited creatures, vain and boastful, with a strong egotistical need to constantly be the center of attention. Excellent at small talk, they can be the life of any party. Roosters are talkative types, outspoken, frank, open, honest -- but a little too blunt at times. A polished debater and able to cogently refute any opinion, the Rooster is a talented polemicist, and could be an excellent journalist or writer. With the Rooster's dedication to work well done, he or she would also make a good economist or a gifted administrator.
These people are born organizers, refined and elegant. They are tidy-minded and like to keep everything neat and shipshape. Their affairs will be all in order, accounts up to the minute and documents systematically filed away. They function best in an environment where everything is organized and their schedules programmed. When it comes to making decisions of any kind, Roosters prefer to carefully consider all sides of a situation before coming to a conclusion. In conflicts, Roosters will push to the extreme but flee before open hostilities break out. Their reflective and analytical abilities sometimes get the better of them. They must constantly question their point of view to ascertain its validity.
The management of finances is perhaps their strength, both on a private and professional level. When it comes to money, Roosters are prudent and careful. They are brilliant managers of other people's money; financial advisers, bank managers, and accountants would all do well to be born in the Year of the Rooster. The Rooster has the reputation of finding money in the most unlikely places, like drawing blood from a stone. In Vietnam they say that, thanks to the strength of his beak and claws, the Rooster can find a worm in a desert. This metaphor goes a long way to explain the continual and restless activity that characterizes him.
The Rooster man likes to be in the company of women, among whom he can show off, shine, swagger and generally demonstrate what a clever fellow he is. However, he rarely goes out for a night with the boys; men bore him to extinction. His Hen counterpart also likes the company of other women -- that's not to say that men bore her! -- and she chooses those professions which keep her constantly in touch with them.
The Rooster will touch the heights and depths during the three phases of his life, business-wise as well as romantically. He will go from poverty to riches, from ideal love to the most sordid of emotional entanglements. The Rooster's old age will be happy, however.
Legend has it in the East that two Roosters under the same roof make life intolerable for everyone else.
The Dashing Rooster
Roosters see the world as either black or white; when it comes to individual people, they will immediately either love or hate them on sight. Their love life has all the elements of romantic excitement. They like the idea of dominating their partner, but this notion is more for fun and show than it is from real conviction. Emotionally, Roosters are said to be passionate and, though they may possess a very active sex drive, they tend to lack firm personal commitment when it comes to serious relationships. The salient characteristic attributed to these people is their honesty, and Roosters are never backwards in coming forward to speak their mind. Their lack of tact, coupled with a sanctimonious attitude to life, has been responsible for the breaking up of many a Rooster's marriage. Yet Rooster males are dashing, handsome fellows and will have young women flocking to their sides. Their Hen counterparts, stylish in the classical vein, will attract their suitors through their no-nonsense, down-to-earth approach to life.
In love, the Rooster will often do himself harm to gain or to keep the affection of the loved one. He will disappoint her often too, for the reality will never match up to the dreams he would so much like to share with her. There's one thing in his favor, though -- he really is sincere about those dreams!
Neither male nor female Rooster will wear their hearts on their sleeves; they keep even the minutest detail about their sexual exploits and love affairs strictly to themselves. Because of their scrupulous honesty, when happily settled in a permanent relationship, Roosters are highly unlikely to deceive or cheat on their partners.
The Snake, Ox and Dragon understand Roosters. They would gain much from friendship with the Monkey and Boar. The Rabbit does not trust the Rooster and won't put up with his boasting.

Para kang LUNES, walang may GUSTO sayo :P
Thanks to my groupmate Azel para sa title ng entry ko ngayon. Yeah, MONDAY sucks. RLE day na naman and may quiz/retdem pa.
Yesterday, nagcover ako ng football with Meyor (and her cute kiddo, Gab), Dana, Kuya Carl (who toured us around Ateneo including the nature trail), Don, and Ate Mona. Good thing, we won yesterday!
Baka kasi ma-misinterpret nung ibang makakabasa, hihi :))
Okey, review-review na! :))

Press Play 2012
I think, this week was totally a blast. IAS and IN week plus Press Play! :)
This year's Press Play was in La Salle in celebration of their Media Week. This was the tie up of Ateneo's The Guidon and DLSU's The La Sallian. It was an advance seminar for students who are in line with Journalism. Some student publications present was UPHSD, Veritas, Mapua, Letran and FEU.
I definitely learned a lot from this seminar--especially dun sa Investigative Reporting/Journalism in relation with the New Media. Our resource speaker was Mr Ed Lingao of PCIJ and he was also a print and television personality since he wrote for Manila Times before and then a reporter in The Correspondents. Though he only had a short time to discuss everything to us, but he left us with a mark. He gave us tips, motivational messages and also POV's. During the Q&A, I asked him a lot of questions since Im interested with his topic and I see journalism and broadcasting as my last resort since Nursing is kinda...umm, declining. First I asked him if media (broadcasting companies, publications) would accept someone who didn't even finished a Comm course and it's only experience is working in the student publication. So Sir Lingao asked me back if why did I became so interested with journ or broadcasting and I answered him. I wont forget some of the things that he said like "Bago ka pumasok sa broadcasting, dapat unang-una marunong ka magsulat" and "It doesn't matter what you are (nursing student), but it is on how you do it (journalism)". He cited some examples and his own experiences. A producer won't choose you just because you are beautiful, has a fair complexion and white underarms (yeah, he said that), but he will first let you write and then it is the time that he will judge you. Then on field reporting, I also asked him his if he already had a contact on his assigned place, how does he formulate questions..etc. He let us watch some videos from early 2000's especially from ABC5 and ABS-CBN. We saw a lot of familiar faces including Zaldy Ampatuan ( yeah, I was able to recognize him since the setting was in Datu Aguak in Maguindanao. And he was so young then, you won't think that he'll gonna be the mastermind of maguindanao massacre after 9 years!).
Aside from that, he also tackled the rise of new media and the rapid decline of newspapers in the US. It's quite alarming and we teenagers forgot to read newspapers and totally rely on Yahoo which aggregates some top news in mainstream media like NY Times and the likes. According to a website, they predicted the death of newspapers after 5 years. They also made a study on the internet usage of the Filipinos. We are now tagged as the World's Largest Internet Users with 93.3%. Every Filipinos use the internet for 7 hours in a month but in reality, especially here in Manila, 7 hours is just a small number. We can stay up to 12 hours or more during weekends. Actually, we dont fully utilize the internet properly. Some people from the province go to internet shops just to update their statuses and play games but little did they know, they can get a lot of informations. INFORMATIONS in the internet are somewhat viral, even pictures and videos. Well, I cant elaborate more about that cause it seems like Im already lecturing. haha.
Going back, being in media is an adventure. Some may say that news is boring, but hey, you can do a lot of things with news. Others complain that their audiences (students) are very passive in the news that they are publishing, they dont even care on school issues, etc. An editor from a university shared that their newspaper are bring checked first by the admin of their school. The admin wants to make sure that the paper wont give any bad image with their school, but it seems like they (admin) are controlling the press freedom. I dont really know the whole story but it seems to be somewhat like that. Good thing in FEU, we have freedom to publish news which aims to inform the students with the current happenings and issues and the admin doesn't check our galley before we send it to the publishing house. I wonder if we are in the same situation with that editor. hmm. Hey! Where am I heading to? I thought this blog was about my adventures today?
Going back again, we had our lunch at their canteen. It has the same ambiance with EB canteen and the also have big fans like those on Pav 2. While roaming around, I somewhat felt that "college vibe/ambiance". I dunno why but I like La Salle's vibe, it's kinda different (well, maybe because it was a big university and it is in a different location. hmm, pwede). People there loves to wear statement shirts of DLSU and are very simple. The La Sallian's staffers are very hospitable especially their (very cute, ahem) ME and the funny girl (whose actions are very Maskom, like she called scissors as "jonting". COOL!) Someone from the staff looks like Enchong Dee (the slimmer version), and I thought that guy was a celebrity. haha.
On our second session, we agreed on Photojourn since majority of us went to IR and Jude was separated since he joined the Visual Arts seminar. To our surprise, the speaker, who was a La Sallian and Manila Bulletin photographer was an acquaintance of Jude! They knew each other during UAAP Men's basketball tournament last semester, and! he's an RR Garcia fan (can you believe that?! definitely cool!). He gave us basic knowledge on photojournalism and important points. I may not be a photographer but Im really interested on pictures (maybe because I easily remember pictures than words.. something like that.) He also shared his NINJA stories (Jude, alam mo yan!), which are quite risky and adventurous! "Photographers go to places that other people fears to go" (parang ganun ata).
After the seminar, I asked Kuya Andrew about Joel (my acquaintance from ITH) but they know him as Tim (his nickname) and I told them that we know each other months ago, and kinakamusta ko siya (we had a nice talk during ITH). And then, all of them said "Ayieee", and I just laughed. Their ME invited us for a snack and then attend also their party. I was thrilled since it's gonna be my first time to attend their party but unluckily, my advo mates wants to go home early. So we just roamed around the La Salle campus, seached for Bro Andrew Gonzales Bldg, had a mini picnic in front of Yuchengco Hall, explained about architecture kemps, then picture taking before going home. Buts and Marra made me laugh hard because of their conyo way of speaking, but contrary to what they are expecting, we all conversed in Filipino and they are not conyo. :) I also bought a lanyard with NERDY printed in it. I should've chose the SPORTY one since Im from sports section. hihi :)))
Thanks to Jude for taking the photos, Buts and Marra for making me laugh, Nikky, Glesa, Jan (with his fab hair. SUPER LIKE!), and Bambi (Happy Birthday!) :))) Hope to spend more time with you and more seminars to come!

Zettai Kareshi
And this manga made me cry. How much more kung papanuorin ko pa yung live mismo. Touching story. Clap clap to Yuu Watase, what a masterpiece!
